21st Star Chapter DAR Meeting

The Twenty First Star Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution will hold its next meeting on Wednesday, February 13, 2013, at the Des Plaines Elks Lodge #1625, 495 Lee Street in Des Plaines. Luncheon begins at 11:30 a.m. Outstanding American History Scholars and Good Citizen winners from the Maine Township High Schools and Niles North and Niles West High Schools will be honored at this meeting. 


The Chapter is pleased to welcome as speaker, Dr. Dorene P. Wiese, founder and president of the American Indian Association of Illinois and President of the Eastern Illinois University, Medicine Shield College program in Chicago. She will speak on “American Indian Education in the Twenty First Century.”


Women in the Northwest Suburban area, who are interested in learning more about the Daughters of the American Revolution, please contact Dorothy Wilson at (847) 328-6946 for further details.  Any woman 18 years or older, regardless of race, religion, or ethnic background, who can prove lineal decent from a patriot of the American Revolution, is eligible for membership.
