Twenty First Star Chapter DAR Meeting
The Twenty First Star Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution will meet on Saturday, October 13, 2012, at the Park Ridge Country Club, 636 N. Prospect Avenue in Park Ridge at 11:30 a.m. A luncheon will be served at 12:00 p.m. with a meeting and program to follow. Hostesses for the day are: Louise Kaeding and Barbara Hale, Chairman.
Chapter Regent, Joy Martin is pleased to have Andrew Trenkle, Constitution Team Coach from Maine South High School, present his program, "Teaching and Winning with the Constitution." Mr. Trenkle's outstanding work with the Constitution Team illustrates what good education can be and how history and the Constitution can continue to inspire young people, and all citizens, 225 years after its birth.
Any woman 18 years or older, regardless of race, religion, or ethnic background, who can prove lineal decent from a patriot of the American Revolution, is eligible for membership. The DAR recognizes "Patriots: as not only soldiers but also anyone who contributed to the cause of American freedom."
