Scouting Day is our annual festival highlighting our local scout troops and thanking them for their community service throughout the year.
Scouting Day Schedule of Events:
- 10:00 am Color Guard Flag Ceremony
- 10:00 – 11:00 Free Maier’s Doughnut for any scout in uniform
- 8:00 – 12:00 Balloon creations and entertainment by Ryan Freeman of RC Juggles Entertainment
- Hourly Cub Scouts Water Rocket Launch
- Derby and Rain Gutter models and Knot Tying Lessons with the Cub Scouts
- Hourly crafts with the Girl Scouts
FEATURED VENDOR: Patyk Farms!
Morton Grove native John Patyk and his wife Myra run the family farm in Richmond, IL, where they live with their son Johnny and many chickens, goats, and kittens. Stop by the Patyk Booth at the northeast corner of the outer market for a variety of Illinois grown fruits and vegetables including sweet corn, musk melons, multi-colored heirloom carrots, several varieties of tomatoes and eggplants, and many other midwestern summer crops. This Saturday only, the Patyks will be bringing some of their live chickens to the Market!Entertainment:
