Senator Mulroe to hold town hall meeting

CHICAGO – Senator John G. Mulroe (D-10th) and Representative Rob Martwick (D-19th) will be holding a town hall meeting to address the critical issues facing our state on Monday, November 18, 2013.  The meeting will be held in the Copernicus Center (5216 W. Lawrence Ave., Chicago, IL) from 6-7:30 p.m.

Town hall meetings give members of the community an opportunity to meet with their legislators face-to-face to discuss pending legislation, state government issues and community concerns.

“Our communities need to know that we are available to listen to their concerns and that we care about how they feel and where they stand on the issues,” Mulroe said. “This meeting will provide an opportunity for this level of communication.”

Senator Mulroe and Representative Martwick will also be providing a legislative update on the recent veto session in Springfield and will give attendees an opportunity to discuss their ideas for new legislation.

The town hall meeting is open to the public.  Senator Mulroe encourages anyone with questions or concerns to come join him for a candid conversation about state and local government issues.

For more information on the town hall event, please contact Representative Martwick’s district office at 773-286-1115 or repmartwick@gmail.com.
