Bridging Cultures: Muslim Journeys

Earlier this year, MGPL received a Muslim Journeys Bookshelf grant, a project of the National Endowment for the Humanities Bridging Cultures initiative; books and films were awarded to participating libraries across the country. As part of the Muslim Journeys project, in September MGPL will present:


WOMEN’S RIGHTS IN ISLAM: An International Perspective

Tahera Ahmad, Chaplain at Northwestern University in Evanston, will discuss the rights Muslim women have and how those rights affect day-to-day life in the U.S. and around the world. Tahera Ahmad grew up in Morton Grove.
