Rotary's 1.2 million members believe it starts with a commitment to Service Above Self. In recent years the Skokie Valley Rotary has helped in numerous projects including supporting local organizations like, THE ARC, American Cancer Society, Metropolitan Family Service, Orchard Village, Golf Marine Park District, Summer Foundation, VITA and more.
Rotary clubs serve communities around the world, each with unique concerns and needs. Rotarians have continually adapted and improved the way they respond to those needs, taking on a broad range of service projects.
Rotary has helped reduce the spread of polio throughout the world since 1985.Polio eradication is within our grasp. But if we don’t eradicate the disease now, the risk of crippling and deadly polio outbreaks will continue to threaten the world’s children.
