Northern Lights May Appear Thursday Night Or Friday Morning

The magical green, or even red or blue, dancing lights in the sky known as the Aurora Borealis, or Northern Lights, may be visible from the Chicago area Thursday night or Friday morning, according to USA Today.

The phenomenon is usually visible only in much more northern reaches of the earth, and scientists can't predict whether we'll actually be able to see it. And then there's the matter of whether it will be too cloudy to see it; Thursday night's forecast calls for snow.
