VIDEO: Santa Arrives By Firetruck At Golf Mill

Santa had no reindeer, but some pretty impressive wheels Saturday, arriving at in a shiny red firetruck and riding through the mall in a Ford Mustang.

Children ran to greet him as soon as he got off the firetruck, and walked with him as he made his way to the lobby near . There, he greeted Golf Mill staff and Mayor Robert Callero as a gathered crowd looked on.

"I took your picture and put it on my tie," quipped Callero, motioning to his holiday neckpiece.

To the crowd, the mayor said, "We wish you all the joys of the holiday season. I'll say please shop at the mall."

With that, Santa walked over to a special light switch and, with the crowd watching, flipped a switch that illuminated 10 Christmas trees decorated by various community organizations in the area.

Shoppers can "vote" for their favorite tree by bringing canned goods to donate. They'll be accepted at the customer service center next to the trees.

Santa got into the shiny Mustang convertible from and rode to center court, where he greeted shoppers and took up residence in his Santa house. He'll be available there for photos during the holiday season.
