Chamber Names Moose Family Center "Member of the Month" for September, 2011

The member of the month is chosen by the Board of Directors for contributions to the economic and social well being of the Morton Grove Community

is a family fraternity organization of men and women dedicated to caring for young and old, bringing communities close together and celebrating life!

In addition to supporting Mooseheart, a 1,000 acre community in the Fox River Valley which provides educational and vocational training to children in need, and Moosehaven, a peaceful retirement community located in Orange Park, FL; the organization also places a special emphasis on giving back to the Morton Grove Community through a wide range of service projects.

Moose Family Center #376, located at 6419 Chestnut Ave. in Morton Grove, actively participates in the Taste of Morton Grove every year and is always willing to take part in a worthy local cause. Most recently, Moose members were instrumental in the Chamber’s Steak Fry to benefit the Niles Township Food Pantry not only by donating their lodge space for the event, but also serving as a silver sponsor and overseeing the organization and execution of the benefit.

Without the efforts of Administrator Gerald Swearinger, Governor Eric Hoffman, Jr., Graduate Regent Julie Higgins, Wanda O’Martin, John Hoffman, Jack Balsamo, John Jamruszka, Keith Jernberg and Tom Segreti this event would not have been possible.

Moose membership is an opportunity to make a difference in our community and beyond.  If you are interested in joining, pick up information or an application from the Chamber Office at Village Hall or call Jerry Swearinger at (847) 965 2928!
