CREATE Money in Morton Grove?
If money for the modernization of rail infrastructure is out there, why can't Morton Grove get some of it? And what would it take to get that money?
I just learned that in Bellwood, under the CREATE Program to modernize rail infrastructure, an overpass separating trains and vehicles will be built at 25th Avenue. In Morton Grove, we have been talking off and on about improvements to our Metra station. We have had ideas on the drawing board for some time now. Why can't Morton Grove be receiving money for our projects as Bellwood is for theirs? I plan to follow up on this story and hopefully get some answers. Maybe I can create some public support for improving transportation here in the village. Just starting a dialogue would be an excellent first step.
