Pet of the Week: Gunther

Gunther, a Golden mix, is one of many pets available for adoption.

Gunther is an extremely loving and affectionate young Golden mix who was rescued from a high kill shelter in Missouri. How did he end up at the shelter? A volunteer was taking pictures of the dogs in the shelters and he walked up to the fence to greet her.

It was obvious that he had been on his own for a while. Although he was very friendly, he was very skinny. Gunther gets along with other animals. He loves to play with dogs and is good with cats.

Gunther is just a lover. He adores people of all ages, and he craves closeness. Want a dog to keep your feet warm while watching a movie? Gunther will be there! A stroke on the head, a pat on the back – he loves it all!

Gunther loves to snuggle (on the couch, if allowed), and he is eager to please. He is completely housebroken. He is working on his leash skills in his foster home and he has learned to sit. He would love to continue his education with a permanent family.

If you would like to meet Gunther to see if this handsome boy would fit into your home, please contact Pamela Kramer at (847) 323-6411 or email pamelaokramer@gmail.com.
