First of all, we would like to once again thank the wonderful local artist and graphic designer Mila Ryk of Art & Beyond Studio, Inc. for the beautiful basket logo that we used for our first three seasons.

Through a generous Creative sponsorship, we commissioned a new logo through Bob Baittie Design, Inc.  We wanted to simplify our logo without losing the iconic basket.

 Market Site

We are happy to continue our partnership with the Morton Grove Park District.  Our Farmers’ Market will be located at the same place, 6210 Dempster St. between the Civic Center and Harrer Pool.  In a few weeks, the drive through structure will be taken down, leaving more space for the Farmers’ Market!

EBT Booth

Spread the word!  New this year, we will have an EBT booth next to our Welcome Booth.  EBT stands for Electronic Benefits Transfer.

Thanks to a grant from the USDA and sponsorships from BMO Harris Bank and Creative, will will be able to accept the Link card (SNAP/food stamps), credit cards and debit cards starting this spring at the Morton Grove Farmers’ Market!

Northshore University HealthSystem is generously matching up to $25 of Link funds a week (per individual user) with Double Value Coupons to purchase healthy, local food for their families.

Steering Committee Team

Our Farmers’ Market is constantly growing and changing, and so is our Farmers’ Market Committee.  We would like to welcome Susan Werth as our new book keeper and thank Donna Hedrick for continuing as our treasurer.

This year’s Managers On Duty will be Peggy LeibBrad Moldofsky  and Kristina Otte.  Rich Block,  Rosetta Metz and Elaine Monterola round out the 2013 Steering Committee.

We thank Manager on Duty Laura Frisch and Volunteer Coordinator  Kim Quintero for doing such wonderful jobs last year.
