Get the E-Reader Experience with MGPL

Experience different types of e-readers and tablet devices before you buy, and get all your tech questions answered by MGPL librarians.

If you are one of the millions of Americans that have an e-reader on your holiday wish list, or shopping list, then be sure to stop by Morton Grove Public Library’s E-Reader and Tablet Petting Zoo on Saturday, Dec 8th from 11 am – 1pm.

Join MGPL’s technology librarians for a hands-on trial of many different types of e-readers and tablets.  When deciding to purchase an e-reader or tablet, buyers must now consider much more than just price and brand.  Many devices now have capabilities similar to a smartphone or computer, while others are used strictly as a reading device.  There are different types of screens, apps, and storage capacities to consider as well. Learn about the differences between devices and hear about some popular apps.

Questions about an e-reader, tablet, or any other kind of technology you already have? Check out MGPL’s Tech Drop-In, Wednesday, December 12 from 6 pm – 8 pm.  Our librarians will be back and ready to help you with your tech questions.  This is a great place to learn how to change the settings on your iPad, enhance a power point presentation, or discuss different digital cameras.  Registration is not required for either program.
