MGPL After Dark: Friday at 7pm

MGPL After Dark: Broadway Babies

Thank you to all who came the inaugural performance of MGPL After Dark on July 26! Many who attended expressed how much they enjoyed the Jazz Consortium Big Band’s performance. If you were not able to attend, Morton Grove Public Library has many more events planned for the new MGPL After Dark series of programs, starting with a musical performance this Friday at 7pm.

Broadway Babies: Friday, August 23 at 7 pm

Main Street Cabaret, a pianist and three vocalists, will perform a variety of Broadway show tunes, such as: I Dreamed a Dream, Little Girls, Some People, Bosom Buddies, and more.

Echoes of Spain: Friday, September 27 at 7 pm

Norman Ruiz and Jeffrey Warren, two virtuoso guitar players, will delight with a concert of classical guitar. They will perform music composed by Isaac Albinez, Manuel Ponce, Claude DeBussey, Joaquim Turina, and Jorge Morel.

The Haunting: Friday, October 25 at 7 pm

William Pack presents an evening of supernatural or “ghost” theater, an interactive performance of spine-tingling horror stories, eerie Chicago-area history, and inexplicable paranormal occurrences. 

MGPL After Dark will be held in the Baxter Auditorium on Friday nights, after hours, when the rest of the library is closed.
