February is Love Your Library Month!
The Niles Library is celebrating "Love Your Library Month" throughout February by giving away treats for checkouts, a Valentine's Day performance, and a dance party for kids at Golf Mill.
The Niles Public Library is celebrating “Love Your Library Month” throughout the month of February by giving away treats for checkouts, a Valentine’s Evening performance by Diva Montell, and a special dance party for kids at Golf Mill Shopping Center.
At the Niles Public Library: On Sun., Feb. 10 at 2pm, come to the Niles Library for a musical, energetic Valentine’s Beach Party with Dave Rudolf! It’s family fun for all ages. Pick up tickets in Youth Services 30 minutes before the show. Spend Valentine’s Day evening with recipient of the 2011 Leonardo DaVinci Award for Performing Arts, renowned singer Diva Montell, as she performs her "Be My Valentine Show" on Thurs., Feb. 14 at 6:30pm (dessert) and 7pm (show). Dessert and beverages will be served, so bring a date or your good friends! Seniors, don’t miss the 3rd Annual Post Valentine’s Day Concert with special musical guests on Tues., Feb. 19 at 10:30am. The "Ed & Gene Duo" really know how to get your toes tapping and fingers snapping with their performance of classic love songs and romantic standards. Refreshments will be served.

At Golf Mill Shopping Center: The Niles Public Library and Golf Mill Shopping Center are working together to bring the community a fun program and activity for families in February. DJ Miss Cate brings her popular Bibliobop Dance Party for preschoolers to Golf Mill Center Court on Thurs., Feb. 14 at 12pm. Enjoy stories, tunes, refreshments, along with Ross Dress for Less Frisbees for the kids. From Feb. 14-28, follow the Niles Library StoryWalk at Golf Mill featuring the book It Looked Like Spilt Milk by Charles G. Shaw. Start at JCPenney or Sears, get yourself a worksheet, and begin walking and reading! Bring your completed form to the Golf Mill Customer Service Center to get a $10 off $30 certificate to Toyland and a prize.
