On Friday, Edward B. Whitman, the husband of Margaret Whitman, longtime principal of St. John Brebeuf School in Niles, passed away after a long illness. He was 80.
A wake for Mr. Whitman will be held today at Smith Corcoran Funeral Home, 6150 N. Cicero Ave., Chicago, from 3 to 9 p.m.

A funeral Mass will be said Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Mary of the Woods Church, 7000 N. Moselle in Chicago's Edgebrook neighborhood.

Loving husband of Margaret nee Farrell, beloved father of Katie and Clare Whitman; dear brother of Bob (Penny) Whitman and Barbara (Joe) Ventimiglia; Soon to be father in law of Sireen Chunduri.
