Morton Grove Hosts Free Health And Fitness Expo

MORTON GROVE, IL: The Morton Grove Economic Development Commission (EDC) is pleased to announce its second annual “2013 Health & Fitness Expo” at the Morton Grove Memorial Civic Center, 6140 W. Dempster Street, Morton Grove, on Saturday May 18 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. The Expo is open to people of all ages and admission and parking are free. The public is invited to personally experience many of Morton Grove’s health-related businesses all at one time and in one convenient location.

This large-scale event is co-sponsored by the Morton Grove Chamber of Commerce, the Morton Grove Farmers Market and the North Shore Senior Center. Exhibitors are limited to Morton-Grove based businesses but the Expo will be open to all of the surrounding suburbs and to children, adults and seniors. Exhibitors may participate in the Expo at no charge and must register no later than 5:00 pm on Monday May 13 or before exhibition space has been filled.

Businesses that are involved in the health, maintenance and appearance of the human body will be showcased at the Expo. The exhibitors include medical doctors, pharmacies, dentists, podiatrists, physical therapists, chiropractors, dietitians and nutritionists, health clubs, medical equipment suppliers, home health care agencies, massage therapists and health spas, beauticians, estheticians, cosmetics, health food and vitamin stores, aerobics instructors, sporting goods, martial artists and more.

Restaurants, catering companies and healthy food providers will offer free samples of their fare at random times throughout the three-hour event. Several live demonstrations are also planned.
