In a criminal damage to property incident, a traffic light pole was found lying on the ground on Dec. 7 at the northwest corner of Milwaukee Avenue and Maryland Avenue. Police determined the pole had been purposely detached from its base, and noted a two-inch pry mark on the base. They said it appeared someone pried the pole to make it easier to push over; they did not detect any evidence that would lead them to believe a vehicle had crashed into it.
