42-Year-Old Found Dead

Arrest Information is supplied by the Niles Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

A woman contacted Niles police Jan. 23 just after 6:40 p.m. to say she had not spoken to or seen her son, of the 7600 block of Milwaukee Avenue, for a few days, and that that was unusual, according to police. The last time she had spoken to him, he told her he had pain in his lungs, but attributed it to the cold weather. Police went to the son's apartment and spoke to the landlord, who indicated he would not be able to arrive on scene for more than hour. The victim's mother was anxious to check on her son, so personnel forcibly enteed the residence, according to the report. The victim, Paul Kubowitsch, 42, was found deceased, according to police, who added there were no signs of foul play or injury.

It was valued at $1359.93. Police are investigating.
