Armed Robber Stalks, Threatens Woman

He allegedly followed her by car in traffic and said 'I know you have $1,000 from the coin shop' before displaying a weapon, police said. An arrest is merely an accusation and not evidence of a conviction.

Peter Frauenhoffer, 29 of Des  Plaines has been charged with armed robbery after allegedly following a woman from a coin shop and threatening her last Thursday at about 3:25 p.m.

Niles police said the victim, a 58-year-old Mount Prospect woman, noticed a car tail-gating her starting around the 9000 block of Golf Road as she drove eastward.

She pulled into a parking lot in the 8200 block of Golf in Niles and did not see the offender's black SUV.

While she was sitting in her car, Frauenhoffer, displaying a large metal file, approached her, according to the report. Police said he threatened her with physical harm, saying, “I know you have at least $1,000 from the coin shop.”

Police said Frauenhoffer may have followed the woman from a coin shop in Des Plaines to the parking lot in Niles.

The woman gave the offender $300 and he fled in his vehicle. The woman provided police with its license plate number, and police took him into custody at his residence in Wheeling just after 9:15 p.m.

Niles police contacted the Cook County State’s Attorney's Office and Assistant States Attorney Sianis approved one count of armed robbery, a Class X felony.

The victim was not injured.

The offense has a mandatory minimum sentence of 6-30 years in the Department of Corrections without change of probation upon conviction.

Peter! Peter! Peter! This is your display of your content of character???? Nice work Peter. Your future is so bright I have to wear shades. Enjoy your time as a guest of the state if you are convicted. If you are innocent, how did you get arrested for this?
