Arrests for Violating an Order, No DL, DUI, Cannabis and Theft

An arrest is merely an accusation, not evidence of a conviction.

Mikhail Kanevskiy, 77, of Chicago, was charged with retail theft after, police say, he entered Menards Oct. 28 and took seven packages of batteries and concealed them past the last point of sale. Court date is scheduled for 12/12/13.

Neal Rubenstein, 53, of Skokie was charged with disorderly conduct Oct. 23 in the 5800 block of Lincoln, after police said he called to report an accident and then officers discovered that he was actually involved in a hit and run traffic crash in Arlington Heights.  Police said he was arrested for filing a false police report. Court date is scheduled for 11/18/13.

Erin A. Green, 44, of Chicago was charged with driving under the influence Oct. 24 in the 8700 block of Menard, after police stopped for traffic violations, according to the report. Court date is scheduled for 11/21/13.

Harry A. Litbert, 43, of Morton Grove was charged Oct. 24 on the 7800 block of Luna with violating a court issued order of protection. Court date was scheduled for 10/31/13.

Francisco J. Ramirez, 25, of Melrose Park was stopped for traffic violations Oct. 24 at Dempster and Menard, police said, and charged with possession of cannabis.  Court date is scheduled for 12/09/13.

Deandre Holmes, 24, of Chicago was stopped for traffic violations Oct. 25 in the 8600 block of Waukegan Road, police said, and charged with driving with a suspended DL. Court date is scheduled for 11/21/13.

Tomasz M. Kozuch, 26, of Streamwood was charged with DUI Oct. 26 after police stopped him at Dempster and Austin for traffic violations, they said. Court date is scheduled for 12/09/13.

William Gavilanez, 50, of Morton Grove was stopped for traffic violations Oct. 26 in the 8600 block of Waukegan Road, police said, and charged with driving without ever being issued a license. Court date is scheduled for 12/9/13.

Darryl L. Cosby, 57, of Evanston, was charged with retail theft after police said he entered Menards Oct. 26 and concealed a digital camera and an electric toothbrush in his pants and then walked past the last point of sale. Court date is scheduled for 11/25/13

Irwin Patangan, 20, of Park Ridge was stopped for traffic violations Oct. 26 at Oakton and Austin, police said, and charged with possession of cannabis and drug paraphernalia. Court date is scheduled for 11/25/13.

Nicu Pop, 35, of Des Plaines was stopped for traffic violations Oct. 27 in the 6600 block of Beckwith, police said, and charged with driving without ever being issued a license. Court date is scheduled for 12/12/13.

Jeff S. Pak, 25, of Glenview was charged with improper use of registration after police said they found him on Oct. 28, at Dempster and Menard, to be operating a motor vehicle with a stolen registration sticker affixed to his license plate. Police said he told them he bought the sticker in Chicago on the street from a random person. Court date is scheduled for 11/21/13.
