Brand-New Motorcycle Stolen

It disappeared five hours after purchasers brought it home.

A 25-year-old Chicago woman told Niles police Wednesday that she and her boyfriend had purchased a 2011 Honda CBR600 motorcycle earlier that day, and brought it to his assigned space in his apartment building's parking lot in the 8500 block of Milwaukee Ave., Niles, at about 6 p.m. When they came back at 11:15, it was gone. The boyfriend had the keys, and the landlord verified the motorcycle wasn't towed from the property. The victims had not yet purchased insurance on the motorcycle. Police entered it into a state theft database.

$3,000 Worth of Linens Stolen From Restaurant

The 41-year-old manager of a restaurant in the 5900 block of Touhy, Niles, told police a delivery driver entered the restaurant to speak to management and an unknown person entered a side door and removed the bag of linens. He observed this on a closed circuit surveillance camera after employees discovered the theft May 27.
