Brothers Fight As Car Rolls Away; Both Charged With Domestic Violence

Jacob Hadary, 25, and Joshua Hadary, 33, both of the 8600 block of National Ave., Niles, were each charged with one count of domestic battery after a July 27 incident which began on their block. Niles police worked in conjunction with Morton Grove police because parts of the incident happened in both towns. Niles police said that according to the older brother, the incident began when the two  began arguing over the use of their grandfather's car.

The younger brother was going to leave in the car, but the older brother followed him to the car and began yelling, according to the older brother's account, police said. The younger brother told the older brother he was going to leave and to shut the driver's side door, but the older brother refused, according to the report. The younger brother put the car into gear anyway and started to move, and he noticed the driver's side door struck the older brother lightly.

The younger brother said the older brother punched him in the face and pulled him out of the car, according to the report, and the two began fighting on the ground while the car rolled backwards onto a curb. The younger brother stated that he was able to break free and get inside the car and drive off, police said.

The Officer observed the following injuries on the older brother: small cuts to his face, several lacerations to his right-hand knuckles, a laceration behind his left leg, a scrape to his left shoulder, and a bandaged middle finger to his left hand. The Officer observed the following injuries to the younger brother: a small cut to his face, a scrape on his right wrist, a cut under his left arm, and a bandage on his right shoulder. Their court date was July 29 at the Cook County courthouse in Skokie.
