UPDATE: Car Accident Shuts Down Dempster Highway Exit
According to the one witness on the scene, the car rolled over several times.
A major car accident on the westbound Dempster Street exit of I-94 closed the highway exit at about 1:30 a.m. on Saturday.
The investigation fell into the jurisdiction of Illinois State Police, as the accident occurred on the highway. According to their records, it was labeled a "personal injury crash" with no fatalities. A DUI charge was issued.
"I was inside my home watching TV and I heard the noise," said Anwar Kibiwala, a Skokie resident who lives near the highway, and the only witness on the scene. "My window was by the highway and I saw the car roll over, and right away I dialed 911."

The witness said the car rolled over two or three times, and the top of the car and its windshield is demolished. A firefighter on the scene said five people were in the car.
This is the third in a string of car accidents around the area. Earlier this week, at Harms and Golf Roads occurred on Monday evening. Last week, a when one car hit the China Chef sign on Lincoln Avenue.
