Children's Fight Reaches Adult Level

Father confronts man who grabbed his 7-year-old son to break up a scuffle with another boy.

Milan Iricanin, 42, of Harwood Heights, was issued a ticket for disorderly conduct after another man grabbed his 7-year-old son to break up a fight with another young boy at an indoor playground in the 6300 block of Howard Street about 5 p.m. May 7.

Iricanin confronted the 34-year-old Evanston man who sought to stop the fight. The men had heated exchange of words. Iricanin told police he knocked the brim of the man's hat, but didn't hit him.

The victim said he saw the two young boys fighting in one of the jumping gyms and, since there were no staff members or parents around, lifted one of the boys from under his arms and pulled him away from the other boy. He said Iricanin then slapped him on the left side of his head.
