Collections Agency Receives Death Threat

They were trying to collect on a debt.

A Niles collection agency on Howard Street was in the process of trying to collect a debt of $2,769 from an individual when it received a threatening letter from that person on Dec. 14. 

The letter said, "You can run but you can't hide. I will track you down all over the globe, you are wanted dead or alive." The agency wanted a police report filed as a matter of record.

When police responded to a vehicle crash at 7900 Milwaukee Avenue, Niles, on Dec. 13, one of the parties, Chy Saloeut, of North Kimball Avenue, Chicago, had an Illinois driver's license with the expiration date of 7/4/09. He was charged with no valid driver's license, expired over one year, as well as failure to reduce speed to avoid a crash.
