College Student Dead From Hazing; 22 Arrest Warrants Issued

The Palatine native was found dead in his Northern Illinois fraternity house on November 2, five of the 22 arrest warrants issued are for class 4 felony hazing, NBC 5 Chicago reports.

On Monday, twenty-two arrest warrants were issued relating to the death of Palatine native, David Bogenberger, NBC 5 Chicago reports.

Bogenberger was found dead in his Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity house at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb on November 2.

His death has now been determined to be alcohol and hazing-related, according to NBC 5 Chicago, and five of the warrants issued are for Class 4 Felony Hazing.

Autopsy results showed Bogenberger, 19, had a blood alcohol content of 0.351, close to five times the legal limit, according to Northern Star, the NIU daily paper.

The death was ruled accidental, the Northern Star reports, and according to DeKalb County Coroner Dennis Miller, Bogenberger had an enlarged heart and the alcohol caused an arrhythmia, which led to his death.

Though his family moved to Florida after his 2012 graduation from Palatine High School, a celebration of life was held in Palatine for Bogenberger on November 6.

I was finding that we would get a lot of people guessing forRead More some restaurants (usually when there was a payoff of free pizza), and not very many people entering for other restaurants. Do you think we should bring them back? I'm open to people's opinions. --Pam

Hi Pam, Yes, I thought it would be great if we brought it back. For me personally, whenever I wouldRead More seed the contest on my Twitter timeline, I would immediately go to the site. And if there is an offer of free food even better. It does not even necessarily be a restaurant as it can also be any other type of business, i.e., bakery, retail, gym, car services, etc.
