Cop Recognizes Photo, Man Charged In TV Theft

The man was charged with walking out of a store with a 32-inch TV. Arrest information is supplied by the Niles Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Gregory Gagliano, 23, of West Giddings Street, Chicago, was charged with retail theft Feb. 17.

On Jan. 19, a security agent for a store observed him selecting a 32-inch Toshiba television, valued at $300, and fleeing out of the store with it, according to police. On Feb. 17, a Niles police detective showed the security agent a photo lineup, and the security agent positively identified Gagliano as the one taking the television.

The detective was aware Gagliano was scheduled to appear in court on another case on Feb. 17, and took him into custody at the Cook County courthouse in Skokie, according to the report. His new court date is March 7 in Skokie.

Man charged with DUI after crash

Charles Doyle, 46, of North Oriole Street, Chicago, was charged with DUI Feb. 17 just after 8:30 a.m. in the 8400 block of Milwaukee Avenue. Police responded to an accident involving multiple vehicles, and upon approaching, an officer could smell alcohol on his breath, according to police. Doyle showed impairment on field sobriety tests, police said. His court date is March 9.
