Caller threatens to 'make life miserable'
A 34-year-old Niles woman reported on Feb. 11 that she received harassing phone calls from a caller in Des Plaines. She ceased all contact with this person about two years ago because of ongoing issues. The caller left numerous messages on the woman's cell phone Feb. 6 in Assyrian, which the woman translated for police. According to the report, they said, in summary, that the caller would come to the victim's home, work, neighborhood, "to make your life miserable."
The woman said there is a history of physical abuse between the two. Police made a report and phoned the offender, instructing the person to cease contact with the victim.
