Couple Argue Over Late-Night TV; Police Called

And another couple argued over the family cat. An arrest is merely an accusation and does not indicate a conviction.

 

On July 24, a 25-year-old man from the 9000 block of Terrace Drive reported being in a verbal dispute with his 47-year-old wife over watching television and sleeping. Both parties said they have been having problems over those issues in the past several months, according to police. They argued about the television being on when the husband wanted to sleep, and they began angrily taking turns pulling the TV plug out of the electric outlet and then plugging it back in, the report said. The husband agreed to leave for the night, police said. Police issued a domestic violence form.

On July 24 just before 11:40 p.m., a 72-year-old woman living in the 8200 block of Oketo reported she had been in a verbal dispute with her husband, 69. The husband had been drinking all day and wanted to sleep with the family cat, according to police. The argument was aover who would sleep with the cat, the report said. Both of them agreet to stay separated. Police issued a domestic violence form.
