Customer Makes Inappropriate Comments to Female Employees

He threatened supervisor who told him to leave.

A businessman who manages several stores told police a 61-year-old customer came to the Niles location on Nov. 13 and made inappropriate comments to a female employee.  The manager recognized the customer as someone who had done the same thing at the store's other locations and told the customer to leave. 

The customer told the manager that someone should shoot him, and the manager told him repeatedly to leave. The customer threatened and swore at the manager, telling him he was going to wait outside to fight with him. The customer left the store.

Tyre Shambee, 24, of Evanston, was charged with DUI/alcohol after police observed him swerving over the lane lines four times in the 6500 block of Milwaukee Avenue, Niles,  at about 2 a.m. Nov. 14. Shambee showed signs of impairment on field sobriety tests and a breath test showed a .099 blood-alcohol level. He was also cited for improper lane usage. His court date is Dec. 13 at the Skokie branch of the Cook County Court system.

Woman charged with theft for two Barbie dolls

Rachel Miller, 45, of North Parkside Ave., Chicago, was charged with retail theft for removing two Barbie dolls from a store in the 5600 block of Touhy Ave., Niles, on Nov. 14 without paying. Her court date is Dec. 9 at the Skokie courthouse.
