Driver, 23, Killed In Crash; Dempster Was Closed For Hours
The driver, who was in a black Mustang, crashed into a tree and the car split in half.
Skokie police have said John Khosho is the name of the driver who died in the crash.

A 23-year-old Chicago man was killed when his car, a dark-colored sedan, hit a tree as he was driving along Dempster street in Skokie late Thursday morning.
Skokie police are not releasing his name until his relatives are notified.

The Skokie Police Department released the following statement:
On Thursday, December 5, 2013, at 11:05 a.m. Skokie Police Officers responded to a traffic crash at 3850 Dempster, Skokie, IL.
The incident was a single vehicle, single occupant crash resulting in the fatality of the driver. The vehicle, a black 1996 Ford Mustang coupe, traveling westbound on Dempster St., left the roadway and struck a tree on the parkway in front of 3850 Dempster. The driver was wearing a seatbelt and the vehicle’s air bag was deployed.
At this time the driver is only being identified as a 23 year old male residing in Chicago. Further driver information is pending notification of next of kin. It is unknown at this time if drugs or alcohol is a contributing factor in this crash.

The incident is currently being investigated by the North Regional Major Crime Task Force Major Crash Assistance Team, (N.O.R.T.A.F.-M.C.A.T.), and the road is anticipated to be closed for at least the next 4 hours.
