Ex-Boyfriend Charged With Restraining Order Violation

Woman tells police of uncomfortable situation when he shows up at Niles restaurant..

Ronald McPhilliamy, 49, of Glenview, was charged with violating an order of protection April 7 after his former girlfriend, who is protected under the restraining order, told police about an incident at a Niles restaurant in the 9600 block of Milwaukee Avenue. The woman was not there, but her 15-year-old daughter, who is also protected under the restraining order, was sitting with an adult chaperone and two other kids in a restaurant when McPhilliamy entered, with his daughter, and sat in the booth next to them.

The 15-year-old said he stared and smiled at her. The situation made her uncomfortable enough to call her mother, who phoned police.

Glenview police located McPhilliamy at his home and turned him over to Niles authorities, who charged him.
