Ex-Boyfriend Harasses Woman: Niles Blotter

She tried to break up for a month.

A 19-year-old woman who works at a grocery store in the 5600 block of Touhy Ave., Niles, called police Saturday after her ex-boyfriend, also 19, showed up at her workplace trying to talk with her. The woman, who lives in Lincolnwood, agreed to talk near the store entrance out of fear for her safety.

The two had been dating for about a year, but the woman had tried to break up for a month, and sent a final breakup text on April 1. She blocked the ex-boyfriend's phone numbers from her phone.

When they talked outside the store Saturday, she became afraid for her safety and tried to leave. He grabbed her arm, and she told him to leave her alone. She went back into the store and got her manager, who came outside, but the ex-boyfriend had left.
