Ex-Boyfriend Ignored 'No', Charged With Domestic Battery

She refused his advances, but it turned out badly.

David Warda, 26, of Chicago was charged with domestic battery after a Niles woman, who identified him as her ex-boyfriend, got into an argument with him. She returned to her home in Niles on Washington Street at 1 a.m. Sept. 6 and permitted him to stay at her apartment. He had a few drinks, then began to make advances, which she refused. He persisted, pulled off her clothes and, despite her repeated requests to stop, had sex with her. After she reported the incident later in the morning, police observed a bruise on her. She declined to press charges, but pursued an order of protection. Police issued a domestic violence form. The offender voluntarily came to the Niles police department and was charged. His court date is Sept. 22 in the Skokie branch of the Cook County courts.
