Five Men Beat Self-Admitted Gang Member

They pulled up to his home, he said. An arrest is merely an accusation and not evidence of a conviction.

A 19-year old Niles man reported that just after 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, five men, approximately 20 years old, pulled up to the driveway of his home, in the 9200 block of Woodland, and began swinging at him, police said.

According to the report, the victim said he didn't know why they were attacking him; however, police said the victim is a self-admitted gang member.

He sustained injuries to both of his hands, and told police that may have happened when he struck one of the assailants in the face, according to the report. Police said the victim was not cooperative and refused to provide more details about the battery. He did not want to sign complaints, and insisted on driving to the hospital on his own. Police filed a report.

Manager becomes suspicious, finds two phones, worth $1,200, missing

The manager of a retail store in the 9600 block of Golf Road reported that on Sunday just after 2:35 p.m., three men in their early 20s entered the store separately within a few minutes of each other. Two of them approached a sales representative and began asking questions about telephones. The third suspect approached a display area and a few minutes later left the store. The remaining two suspects then immediately left the store. That triggered suspicion in the manager, who checked around the store and noticed that two Galaxy S phones were missing from the display, according to the report. The manager said video surveillance is available but at a remote location. The value of the telephones is estimated at $1,200.00, police said. They are investigating.

The self admitted gang member didn't know why he was attacked and beaten. That makes sense. Often times gang members don't know why they beat someone. So why would a gang member know why he was beaten?

What a gangland genius. He tells the cops hes been attacked but won't sign complaints. THEN MAKE HINM PAY CASH FOR THE WASTE OF POLICE TIME> He could easily make money as a bouncer if he can fight off five guys at a time. I left Chicago becuase of gangs and now I find theyre here in the famous place to raise a family.

By apparent tradition in Niles, I dont qualify for these reasons. I dont want to be in office for 5o years. I follow the law and dont break it. I never practiced extortion. I am not a Democrat. I do not fall down and worship excon politicians. I don't have a county job. My family members dont have political jobs. I am not in favoring of gambling and video games in Niles. I complain about a local bar keeping me up at night with noise. I dont own a restaurant. I do not believe in raising taxes to fix up Golf Mill. I believe that there should be term limits. I oppose the silly free bus which has few riders but uses up all kinds of gasoline. I believe in telling the truth. I follow Christian precepts on fair behavior. And last like George Washington I cannot tell a lie.
