Hit and Runs Lead to Arrests

Information from the Morton Grove Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.

Revoked drivers license

Paul Asistores, Age 36, of Niles, was stopped Sept. 5 at Golf and Waukegan for traffic violations and found to be driving with a revoked driver’s license. Court date is scheduled for Sept. 30.

Jay George, 41, of Chicago, was stopped Sept. 6 at Dempster and Birch for traffic violations and found to be driving with a revoked driver’s license. Court date is scheduled for Oct. 7.

Obstructing Justice, Suspended DL, Active Warrant

Marcell Perry, 27, of Chicago, was stopped for traffic violations Sept. 6 at Dempster and the Edens and provided a false name to officers, according to police. He was identified and found to be driving on a suspended license with an active warrant for forgery. Court date is scheduled for Oct. 15.

Suspended Drivers License

Jacqueline Tsheko, 50, of Morton Grove, was stopped for traffic violations Sept. 9 at Dempster and Oriole and found to be driving with a suspended driver’s license. Court date is scheduled for Oct. 3.

Julia Vasquez, 29, of Chicago, was stopped for traffic violations Sept. 9 at Dempster and Waukegan and found to be driving without a valid driver’s license. Court date is scheduled for Oct. 3.

Hit and Run, DUI, No Valid DL

Jose, Martinez, 24, of Chicago, was stopped after being involved in a hit and run accident Sept. 9 at Dempster and Waukegan. He was found to be driving under the influence of alcohol and without a valid driver’s license, according to police. Court date is scheduled for Sept. 23.

Hit and Run, No Valid DL

Henry Carhuayo, 42, of Morton Grove, was stopped after being involved in a hit and run accident Sept. 9 in the 9300 block of Austin, according to police. He was also found to be driving without a valid driver’s license. Court date is scheduled for Sept. 30.  

No Valid Drivers License

Jose Santillan, 35, of Chicago, was stopped for traffic violations Sept. 9 in the 6600 block of Dempster and found to be driving without a valid driver’s license, according to police. Court date is scheduled for Oct. 4. 

Retail Theft/Battery

Nashawn Legrone, 29, of Evanston, was stopped after removing merchandise beyond the last point of sale without paying for it at a store in the 6300 block of Oakton on Sept. 10, according to police. She subject was then aggressive and committed a battery. Court date is scheduled for Oct. 3.  

Burglary to Motor Vehicle

Someone entered a vehicle on the 7900 block of Central and stole eyeglasses and portable DVD players.

Someone entered a vehicle in the 7000 block of Foster and stole a hands free headset for a cell phone Sept. 8.

Criminal Trespass to Vehicle

A vehicle’s door was found ajar in the 7000 block of Emerson Sept. 8 and contents inside had been moved around. Nothing was identified as stolen at the time of the repot.

Recovered Stolen Vehicle

A stolen vehicle was recovered after it was found damaged in the 6200 block of Oakton Sept. 9. The vehicle had been stolen out of Chicago.
