Husband Charged After Striking Wife in Argument

Police told fight erupted after she asked for money he owed her.

Eric Anderson, 24, of Niles, was charged with domestic battery after his 21-year-old wife told police he struck her in the face with an open hand after the two argued about money he owed her on April 24, according to police. 

The blow left a red mark, which police photographed. They issued a domestic violence form.

Anderson left immediately after the fight, but later turned himself in to police.

His court date is May 12 in the Cook County courthouse in Skokie.

Hilario Martinez, 21, of Franklin Park, was charged with speeding 40 miles over the limit when police witnessed him driving 70 mph in a 30 mph zone in the 6600 block of Howard Street. He was also charged with driving without a driver's license. His court date is May 17.
