Make a donation to the Illinois Special Olympics, get a free donut, until 2 p.m.

It's donut day!

Members of the Niles Police Department are staking out rooftops of local Dunkin Donuts shops to raise money for the Illinois Special Olympics.

The Dunkin Donuts “Cop on Top” Event is being held today from 5:00 a.m. to 2 p.m.

In 2011 over $217,000 was raised at over 125 locations statewide to benefit the Illinois Special Olympics.   The Niles Police Department will be conducting three “Roof Top Stakeouts" at three Dunkin Donuts locations in Niles. Those locations are:

  • 7039 W. Dempster
  • 7525 N. Harlem
  • 7235 N. Caldwell
Everyone who visits the Cop on Top Rooftop Stakeout Store and makes a donation to the Torch Run will receive a free donut. People who donate at least $10 will also receive a Law Enforcement Torch Run Travel Mug and coupon for free coffee.   Donation Cans are located throughout the Village of Niles. Please donate what you can to help this very worthy cause.   For Additional Information Contact: Sgt. Eric Lambrechts @ 847-588-6566 or Sgt. Ron Brandt @ 847-588-6563
