Jealous Husband Charged With Domestic Battery

Wife's ex-boyfriend had been calling her.

Marco Calderon, 19, of Niles was charged with domestic battery Tuesday after police received a call. They arrived and spoke to his 21-year-old wife, who said her husband was angry because her ex-boyfriend had been calling her mobile phone. After the husband became upset, an argument ensued and he grabbed the wife by her wrist and around the throat, causing red marks. Police photographed the injuries and issued domestic violence forms. Calderon's court date is Sept. 27 in the Skokie branch of the Cook County courts.

Man charged with DUI

Sean Dailey, 33, of North Odell Street, Chicago, was charged with DUI after police observed him driving 57 mph in a 22 mph zone in the 8500 block of Milwaukee Avenue, Niles. Dailey veered across the solid yellow lines of the roadway, and police detected alcohol on his breath. During the booking procedure, Dailey began to fall asleep, then complained his back hurt and he wanted to go to the hospital, then became belligerent. He was treated at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital, then taken back to the Niles police station and processed. His court date is Oct. 11 in Skokie.
