41 bottles of beverage stolen

William White, 42, of West Erie Street, Chicago, was charged with Class 4 felony retail theft April 19 just before 1:15 p.m. when police responded to a store in the 9600 block of Milwaukee Avenue.

An employee there reported seeing White take 41 bottles of a drink called 5 Hour Energy, with a total value of $231.89, on April 11, according to police, who inventoried a surveillance video.

The employee reported White returned on April 19, and left the store before police arrived, but the employee provided a description of the car White was in, and another officer stopped him nearby, police said. White was positively identified in a show up, police said, and taken into custody.
