Lawsuit Filed in 2012 Morton Grove Metra Death
Danny You's father is seeking $200,000 from Metra and the Canadian Pacific Railway, claiming the pedestrian crossings near the station are insufficient.
A wrongful death lawsuit has been filed against Metra and Canadian Pacific Railway in the death of 38-year-old Danny You, the Morton Grove Champion reports.
You was killed by a Metra train in Morton Grove last July as he attempted to cross the train tracks to meet his fiancée on the other side. You was supposed to get married the next day, and had taken time off from work to get the marriage license that morning. His death was ruled an accident.

You’s father, Sun You of Skokie, filed the lawsuit, claiming the pedestrian crossing protections near the Morton Grove station are “inadequate” the newspaper reports. You is seeking at least $200,000 in damages.
