Man, 50, Found Dead

Arrest information is supplied by the Niles Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

On Dec. 20 just after 6:45 a.m., a Niles man was found in a lifeless state by his son in the father's residence in the 8100 block of Wisner, according to Niles police.  paramedics responded, and a doctor pronounced Brian Kapp, 50, deceased. According to the report, Kapp suffered from a series of health issues and had complained of flu-like symptoms.

Man charged with DUI

Theodoro Mougolias, 65, of Niles was charged with DUI on Dec. 22 just after midnight when Niles police observed him swerving between lanes in the 8400 block of Milwaukee Avenue, they said.

When stopped, police said Mougolias admitted drinking two Scotches, and had just left a neighborhood bar. He showed signs of impairment on sobriety tests, according to the report. His court date is Jan. 26 in the Skokie branch of the Cook County courts.
