Man Caught In Lewd Act at Water Park, Police Say

Employees told police about the inappropriate actions. An arrest is merely an accusation, not evidence of a conviction.

Melvin Turofsky, 69, of Niles was charged with public indecency after Des Plaines police responded to a call of a man in a sexual act poolside at Mystic Waters Water Park, in the 2000 block of Miner Street, Des Plaines, on Thursday at about 1:15 p.m.

According to the report, an employee told police the offender was touching himself and was described as "humping the ground."

She said, according to police, that he then entered the pool. He attempted to flee the park, but when employees asked him to stop, he complied. Employees of the water park said they would sign complaints. His court date is July 5 at the Cook County courthouse in Skokie.
