Man Charged For Letting Drunk Friend, With No License, Drive His Car, Police Say

And the friend crashed into two parked cars. An arrest is merely an accusation, not evidence of a conviction.

Aggravated DUI, Permitting unauthorized person to drive

Suspect 1, who did not have a valid driver’s license, police said, crashed his vehicle into two parked vehicles while under the influence of alcohol. Suspect 2, the owner of the vehicle, was a passenger and allowed Suspect 1 to drive while knowing that he was intoxicated and did not have a driver’s license, according to the report.

Court date is scheduled for 12/23/13

Suspect 2: Nguyen, Trinh, age 40, Morton Grove

Retail Theft

6301 Oakton

Subject placed the following items in his cart and walked out of Menards without paying for them, according to police: unibit drill bit, 10 piece 90 degree elbow, ¾ x 10 copper pipe, 2 ¾ fem brass adapter, 25 foot soow cord, ¾ nm connector. The subject was later taken to the station and charged with a local ordinance for retail theft.

Court date is scheduled for 01/16/14

Suspect: Owrahem, Tony, age 55, Skokie

No Valid Driver’s License

Dempster/Harlem

Subject was stopped for traffic violations, police said, and was charged with driving without a valid driver’s license.

Court date is scheduled for 01/13/14

Suspect: Casas, Mario, age 31, Chicago

Violation of Instruction Permit

8940 Parkside

Subject was stopped for traffic violations, police said, and was charged with driving with an instructional permit and not using it legally.

Court date is scheduled for 12/30/13

Suspect: Khan, Saima, age 19, Morton Grove

 

12/11/13 

Retail Theft

6301 Oakton

Subject took the following items out of their original packaging and placed them into his pocket, according to police: 2 black Sharpie markers, 1 pack of Uniball black pens, spr black ¾ electrical tape, yellow male disc connectors, and blue female disc connectors. The subject them attempted to exit the store, police said, but was apprehended by loss prevention before he could leave.

Court date is scheduled for 01/16/14

Suspect: Budowski, Damian M., age 28, Harwood Heights

Credit Card Fraud

Victim’s credit card went missing and several charges were made with it, without the victim’s permission.

Criminal Damage to Vehicle

Victim parked his vehicle in a parking lot for one month, and discovered scratches on the driver’s door.

Residential Burglary

Unknown offender(s) forced entry through the front door and stole a laptop and two tablets.

Criminal Damage to Vehicle

Unknown offender(s) used a sharp object to scratch the victim’s vehicle.

Accidental Damage to Property

A subject accidentally damaged the victim’s vehicle, and refused to pay for the repairs.
