Bulmaro Jacobo, 22, of West Flournoy Street, Chicago, was charged with DUI after he was involved in a vehicle crash with injuries Sunday, just before 7:55 a.m., in the 6700 block of Milwaukee. According to police, the responding police officer observed Jacobo had glassy eyes, was moving around excessively, walking back and forth, swinging his arms and chewing his lips, which the officer suspected were indications of stimulant drugs. Police said Jacobo showed impairment on field sobriety tests, and a search turned up two pills, which he told police were Adderall. The police report indicated they were handmade and not from a laboratory. Police took the offender to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital for blood and urine tests. Jacobo was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. His court date is May 21.
