Man Dies From Motorcycle Crash Injuries

Driver lost control of motorcycle and fell to the ground Thursday; he died Sunday of the injuries.

Niles police received a call Thursday morning, about 8:36 a.m., that a motorcycle had crashed in the 7100 block of Austin Ave. The location is just south of Touhy Ave. and east of the railroad tracks, with on the west and a commercial office complex on the east side of the street.

Witnesses said the driver of the motorcycle came out of a private driveway driving very fast, and lost control of the motorcycle. It began to wobble, then fell, and he was propelled from it. It was a single vehicle crash; witnesses said there were no other vehicles on the street at the time.

Niles Fire Department paramedics took the driver, Felino Bingayen Jr., 36, of Morton Grove, to St. Francis Hospital in Evanston. Niles police cited him for driving too fast for conditions, no valid registration and no valid proof of insurance.
