He did not have a valid driver's license and had been previously arrested for that.

Julio Gomez-Ojeda, 34, of Niles was charged with DUI Alcohol, blood-alcohol level over .08, and DUI Alcohol/Drugs, a Class 4 felony, after a police officer on patrol spotted him in his car, which appeared to be parked on Greenwood Avenue, Niles, southbound just before the intersection with Dempster Street, on Oct. 10 at 4:50 a.m.

The car had its headlights and taillights off and its engine running. A police officer knocked on the window to wake Gomez-Ojeda. He showed impairment on field sobriety tests. A database check found he did not have a driver's license and had been arrested for that in the past. His court date is Oct. 28 in the Skokie branch of the Cook County courts.
