Man Found Dead After Garage Fire in Morton Grove

The Morton Grove Fire Department put out the fire.

The deceased man has been identified as Domingo Morin, who lived at the home, CLTV has reported.

An 88-year-old man was found deceased after a fire in Morton Grove Saturday. 

Morton Grove police released the following statement: 

The Morton Grove Police Department responded to a fire in the 7300 block of Arcadia Saturday.

Upon arrival a fire was located in the garage of a residence. The fire was extinguished by the Morton Grove Fire Department. An 88 year old male was found deceased in the garage.

Morton Grove Police Department investigations personnel, along with investigators from the Office of the State Fire Marshal are actively investigating the incident.

The family of the decedent has been notified. There is no apparent danger to the community at this time. Further information will be furnished when it is available.

The statement did not give the time the incident occurred, but it was released at 4:35 p.m.
