Man Requests Sexual Procedure At Salon

Owner was disturbed at the request and told him to leave.

The 41-year-old female owner of a salon in the 7600 block of Milwaukee Avenue, Niles, told police that a 35-year-old Des Plaines man who had been a regular customer for several months asked for a "penis stretch" on July 1 at about 2 p.m.

The owner, who lives in River Grove, told the customer the salon did not perform that type of procedure. She told police she was alarmed by the request. The subject left after being asked not to return. Police filed a report.

Alabama man charged with driving with suspended license

Timothy Jacobs of Thornsby, Ala. was charged with driving on a suspended driver's license after police stopped him for driving 50 mph in a 35 mph zone of Dempster, Niles, on July 2 at about 11:30 p.m. Jacobs produced an Alabama identification card, and a computer check revealed his license was suspended. His court date is Aug. 5 in the Skokie branch of the Cook County courts.
